The Company successfully realized the domesticalization of X70 Ф1016x17.5mm SAWL pipes for the first X70 long-distance transportation pipeline of China – the West-to-East Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline, (together with Wuyang Iron & Steel) and provided 150,000t steel pipes for this project, breaking the long-term pattern that China depended on import of large-diameter SAWL pipes.

The Company realized the domesticalization of X70 Ф1016x21mm SAWL pipes for the Second Shaanxi-Beijing Pipeline (together with Anshan Iron and Steel), and provided 20,000t steel pipes for the project.

The Company undertook and successfully completed the domesticalization of X80 Ф1016×18.4mm SAWL pipes for the first X80 experimental section – Jining Connection Pipeline of China (together with Anshan Iron and Steel), and provided 1,000t steel pipes for the project.

The Company undertook and successfully completed the domesticalization of SAWL pipes for Panyu-Huizhou Submarine Pipeline (together with Baosteel), and provided 8,500t steel pipes for this project accumulatively.

The Company successfully developed X100 (together with Nanjing Iron & Steel, Anshan Iron and Steel and Baosteel) and X120 (together with Baosteel) SAWL pipes for the first time at home, starting the research and development of ultra-high-strength pipeline steel and SAWL pipe in China.

The Company undertook and successfully completed the domesticalization of X80 Ф1219×22/26.4mmSAWL pipes and Ф1219×22-33mm bends for the Second and Third West-to-East Natural Gas Transmission Pipeines (together with Shagang Group, Baosteel, etc.), and provided 612,600t X80 welded pipes for the Second and Third West-to-East Natural Gas Transmission Pipelines accumulatively. |
2009-2012

The Company successfully completed the domesticalization of X70 high-strain welded pipes (together with Nanjing Iron & Steel and Xiangtan Iron & Steel), and provided 28,700t X70 high-strain welded pipes for China-Myanmar Pipelines, including 19,461t welded pipes applied to natural gas transmission pipeline, and 9,285t applied to oil transmission pipeline.

2009-2012

As one of the global six pipe manufacturers, the Company participated in the research and development of welded pipes for ultra-deep submarine pipelines of below 1,500m of Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (together with Nanjing Iron & Steel and Xiangtan Iron & Steel), and preliminarily passed related examination and evaluation of Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. and international professional institutions.

The Company undertook and successfully completed the research and development of SAWL pipes for Wuhai-Yinchuan Gas (Coke Gas) Transmission Pipeline Project (together with Nanjing Iron & Steel), and provided 30,000t SAWL pipes for this project accumulatively.

The Company undertook and successfully completed the domesticalization of X65 Ф762×30.2mm and X70 Ф765.2×31.8mm SAWL pipes for CNOOC South China Sea Deep-Water Natural Gas Pipeline Project (together with Anshan Iron & Steel), and provided 31,800t steel pipes for this project accumulatively.

The Company undertook and succeeded in trial production of X80 Ф1219×23.7/26.2mm low-temperature and high-strain SAWL pipes for Alaska project (together with Anshan Iron & Steel and Capital Steel).

The Company undertook and successfully completed the domesticalization of X80 Ф1219×26.4mm high-strain welded pipes for the Third West-to-East Natural Gas Transmission Line (together with Shagang Group and Anshan Iron & Steel), completed the 1,000t trial production and passed experts’ appraisal, breaking the situtation of China’s long-term dependence on import of X80 high-strain welded pipes.

The Company undertook and successfully completed the research and development of X80 Ф1219×27mm (wall thickness) high-toughness SAWL pipes for Trans-Asia Pipeline (together with Shagang Group), and provided 12,000t steel pipes for this project, taking the wall thickness of steel pipes for X80 trunk lines to a new level.

The Company completed the small-batch trial production of X90 Ф1219×16.3mm SAWL pipes (together with Jinan Iron & Steel and Xingcheng Special Steel) and the single-furnace trial production of X80 Ф1422×25.7/30.8mm SAWL pipes (together with Shagang Group), passing the evaluation of TGRC.

The Company succeeded in the trial production of X80 Ф1219×33mm (wall thickness) high-toughness SAWL pipes and X80 Ф1219×37.9 mm bends (together with Shagang Group), accumulating experiences and laying a foundation for mass production, standard optimization and engineering application.

2014

The Company successfully completed the trial production of 1,000t X80 Ф1219×33mm pipes for the middle section of the Third West-to-East Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline (together with Shagang Group, Shandong iron & Steel and Xingcheng Special Steel).

2015
|
The Company successfully completed the trial production of X80 Ф1422×21.4 mm pipes for China-Russia Natural Gas Pipeline (together with Xiangtan Iron & Steel).

2016
|
A new round of research and development of extreme-specification steel pipes and high-strain, sour service and submarine steel pipes is in the process.
